How we think about repair pricing

Part availability shapes options. Some devices have multiple quality tiers; others have one reliable option. Newer or rarer devices often have fewer aftermarket alternatives. We only offer parts we trust — we don't stock unreliable budget options.

Bundling. Multiple repairs on the same device may qualify for a bundled discount. Ask about this when requesting a quote.

Price match. We match comparable verified quotes from local Winnipeg / Manitoba competitors on the same repair. Bring in a written quote and we'll match it — or beat it when we can.

Financing doesn't reflect replacement cost. Monthly payments can make a phone feel worth less than its true value. Understanding actual replacement cost helps you evaluate repair value honestly.

Screen quality tiers (when available)

Not every model has multiple tiers — we'll tell you what's available for yours.

Value — budget-friendly aftermarket panel when supply allows. Best for older devices or short-term use.

Premium — factory-equivalent OLED / LCD. Same brightness, color, and touch response as original. Most popular tier.

Genuine — factory-original Apple or Samsung Service Pack panel. Identical to what the device shipped with. Available on iPhone, MacBook, and select Samsung models.

Every tier carries the same 1-year warranty on the part. All three exclude physical and liquid damage; warranty covers the part we installed, not unrelated component failures (but we're always happy to take a look).

How long repairs take

Same-day depends on stock + queue. If the part is in stock and our queue allows, most repairs are completed same day. Walk-ins are welcome but wait times vary.

Parts we commonly stock: iPhone screens and batteries, popular iPhone back glass + frames, popular iPad screens and batteries, Samsung S-series batteries, higher-end Samsung S-series screens.

Out-of-stock parts can often be expedited within ~24 business hours via Canadian suppliers. Rush service can support expedited overnight sourcing from the U.S. where possible.

Diagnostic-required repairs (water damage, no power, intermittent issues) can't be guaranteed same-day — we have to find the fault first.

Repair vs replace — and how trade-in changes the math

We don't want to charge more than a device is worth. If a repair costs more than replacement value, we tell you upfront.

If repair doesn't make sense, consider: pre-owned devices (quality-checked, warrantied), trade-in or buyback for your current device, or selling for parts if repair isn't viable. We can quote all three alongside the repair so you have the full picture.

Flagship devices can be costly to repair because parts are costly. The cost reflects the device's true replacement value, not your monthly payments.

If your data matters more than the phone

Sometimes photos and files are more valuable than the device itself.

Data Transfer — move data from one working device to another. Photos, contacts, apps. Service-based, no warranty term applies.

Data Recovery Attempt — we try to get a damaged phone working long enough to back up or transfer your data. May involve temporary repairs to access data. Fee applies regardless of outcome — it covers technician time and effort. Some damage types (especially liquid damage) significantly reduce success odds; we'll give you an honest assessment before proceeding.

What's the difference between Aftermarket and Genuine parts?

Genuine parts are sourced directly from Apple or Samsung Service Pack channels — identical to what the device shipped with. Premium aftermarket parts are factory-equivalent OLED / LCD panels — same brightness, color reproduction, touch response. Indistinguishable in daily use. Value aftermarket parts meet daily-use standards but are slightly less vivid (typically unnoticeable for texting, browsing, video calls). We disclose which tier you're getting on every quote.

Why don't you publish a fixed price list?

Because pricing genuinely moves. Part costs change with supplier availability, currency rates, and demand cycles. A fixed list would either be stale (overcharging when costs drop) or inflated (so it never has to be updated). We publish the line-itemised quote you receive in 1-2 business hours — current to today's part cost.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes. The initial estimate based on your description is free in 1-2 business hours. The physical diagnostic is also free if you proceed with the repair. If you decide not to proceed after physical inspection, the diagnostic fee is $49 (covers technician time to open the device).

What if the repair costs more than my device is worth?

We tell you upfront. If a repair quote exceeds your device's replacement value, we say so during the quote process and outline alternatives: pre-owned devices we have in stock (quality-checked, warrantied), trade-in offers for your current device, or selling-for-parts if the device is beyond viable repair. You get the full picture before deciding.

Why is Samsung screen repair expensive?

Samsung's Super AMOLED and Dynamic AMOLED panels are some of the most expensive smartphone displays to replace — Samsung sells these as Service Pack components at premium pricing. The good news: our Premium tier uses genuine OEM Samsung Service Pack screens with a 1-year warranty (vs Samsung's 90 days), and we offer Value tier aftermarket alternatives on select models where supply allows.

Why can't you always offer a cheaper screen?

Because not every device has a reliable aftermarket alternative. Foldable inner displays (Z Fold / Z Flip) are almost exclusively available as Genuine OEM. Newer models often have limited aftermarket supply. We only stock parts we trust — we don't carry unreliable budget options just to advertise a lower price.

Can you price match?

Yes — we match verified written quotes from local Winnipeg or Manitoba repair shops for the same repair, same model, same part quality tier. Subject to verification (we may call to confirm). Apple Canada and chain mail-in services aren't eligible (we're always cheaper or differently priced).
