Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip repairs require specialized technique. The folding display panels are made from Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) — entirely different technology from standard smartphone screens. Wrong technique can permanently damage the device.

Samsung's authorized service offers a 90-day warranty on parts and labour, mail-in or limited authorized service centres, typically 5–10 business days turnaround.
Mobile Tech Lab gives you a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects in the replacement part on every repair, walk-in same-day service at St. Vital or Thompson, 1–2 hours when parts are in stock, and genuine OEM Samsung Service Pack parts where available.
A full year of defect coverage is meaningfully more valuable than Samsung's 90 days. Both Premium and Value tiers are professionally installed; both backed by clear warranty terms (see FAQ for full coverage details and exclusions).
Samsung discontinued the Note series. We still repair them.
Samsung Canada no longer offers service for Galaxy Note 8, 9, 10, 10+, 20, and 20 Ultra. The phones still work — Samsung has just stopped supporting them.

Premium vs Value Samsung screens
On select Galaxy models we offer two quality tiers.
Premium screen (recommended) — genuine OEM Samsung Service Pack panel. Identical color reproduction, brightness, and touch response to factory original. About 70% of customers choose Premium.
Value screen (when available) — aftermarket OLED panel, offered when supply permits. Color reproduction and brightness slightly less vivid than Premium, but generally unnoticeable for typical use. About 30% of customers choose Value when available for their model.
Both tiers carry the same 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Foldable inner displays (Z Fold and Z Flip) are typically only available as Premium genuine Samsung Service Pack — Value alternatives don't exist for the folding display panel.

When should I choose Value tier versus Premium tier?
Choose Premium if you want the longest warranty and genuine OEM Samsung quality. Choose Value if your Galaxy is older, you're trading in within 12 months, or the budget matters most. Value isn't available on every model — supply-dependent. Note: foldable inner screens only have Premium tier available.
Can you repair water-damaged Samsung phones?
We start with a $49 device-opening diagnostic — fully credited toward your repair if you proceed. Data recovery attempts start at $99.99. Important: outcomes cannot be guaranteed, and no warranty applies to liquid-damaged devices, on any component, regardless of whether future failure relates to our work. For severely water-damaged devices we often recommend backup-and-replace.
Do you offer same-day Samsung repair?
Yes for most non-foldable models when parts are in stock — typically 1–2 hours. Foldables (Z Fold + Z Flip) need 2–5 business days for OEM Service Pack parts to arrive, then 1–2 hours installation. When you submit your quote we tell you upfront whether your model is in stock.
Are the parts genuine Samsung?
Premium tier uses genuine OEM Samsung Service Pack screens where available — identical to factory original. Value tier (when available) is aftermarket OLED. Foldable inner displays are typically only Premium / OEM. We disclose part tier on every quote.
Can I walk in or do I need to book ahead?
Walk-ins welcome at both St. Vital and Thompson during open hours. Booking via our quote form is faster — we have the part pulled and ready when you arrive, and locks in your price.
